Hello I’m Ms. Raonak and I’m passionate about traveling and experiencing different cultures, crafting, and cooking new recipes. My classroom is an interactive and multi-sensory classroom where students engage in crafts, movement activities, and social skill development through hands-on and kinesthetic learning. I was drawn to Hillside because of the Play and Theme based learning that is implemented here which matches my teaching style.

I have had a great welcome to the HIllside family so far. In my classroom we have a lot of fun creating crafts, learning about different topics, and discussing each month’s theme. At our school we have a lot of freedom to create specialized and personal lessons that are curated for each student's growth. We spend each day learning phonics, reading and writing, social studies, art, science, math and coding. Outside of school I enjoy expressing my artistic side as I paint, draw, embroider and do many crafts. Coming to Hillside from my old school has helped me spend more time in the creative field. Hillside also helped me use my teacher training from Central Washington University in a real classroom setting similar to one I had in America. I am excited to see how my students grow as we go through the year.

Hi! I’m Blessing Teacher, I have been teaching at hillside for almost three years. I was drawn to the school because of the freedom it brings in the classroom, I am able to freely plan my lessons and collaborate with other teachers as well as parents and when it comes to curriculum. My students learn the themes through a variety of crafts using different materials. I like to implement a lot of hands on materials so that every class is exciting and interesting for the students.
Outside of the classroom I like to spend time crafting and taking classes to build related skills. I also enjoy trying new foods and finding new and exciting cafes and restaurants.

Hello, My name is Sarah! I enjoy going to coffee shops and hanging out with friends outside of work. In my class, students will work on phonics sounds and begin to read short CVC words. I was excited to join Hillside Collegiate due to the school curriculum being theme based. I saw this as a unique way to teach students while keeping it fun and exciting for them.

- What are you passionate about outside of the classroom/school?
I enjoy learning new things and outside of work I love to relax by reading a good book with a cup of tea.

- What do students learn in your classes/program?
My students learn many subjects in my classes, phonics math, science etc. but we also learn how to be a good friend and how we can look after others in the classroom and make them feel safe and happy.

- What attracted you to teach or work at Hillside?
Originally I was attracted to work at Hillside because of the schools Educational Philosophy, 'Learning by head, hand and heart'. I liked the idea of schools encouraging not only academics but also children's mental and social health.
